Precious-metal leaching
Eco-friendly gold leaching reagent
A drop-in replacement for sodium cyanide on existing CIL/CIP circuits
- Generic name
- Low-toxicity gold lixiviant (sodium cyanide substitute)
- Chemical name
- Composite precious-metal lixiviant
Properties
- Replaces sodium cyanide in gold production without changing the existing cyanidation process or equipment.
- Low toxicity, good stability, minimal environmental impact.
- Safer for workers and the environment, and simpler to handle.
- Extracts gold without destroying the ore structure, reducing resource consumption.
- Broad applicability: alluvial, hard-rock and volcanic-hosted gold ores.
Applications
- Gold and silver ores, cyanidation tailings, gold concentrate, sulphuric-acid calcine, lead-zinc calcine and anode slime.
- Heap leaching, vat leaching and carbon-in-pulp/carbon-in-leach circuits.
- Dosage should first be established by bench testing; for readily leachable ores the existing sodium cyanide dosing regime can be used as a reference.
