Properties
- A trifunctional monomer with very low homopolymerisation tendency and high thermal stability; white to pale yellow crystals.
- Compared with TAIC and similar crosslinkers, vapour pressure stays low even at high temperature, and it is stable against water and mineral acids.
Applications
- Co-agent for peroxide or electron-beam crosslinking of polymers processed at high temperature, especially fluoroelastomers, polyamides and polyesters.
- Electron-beam crosslinking of PA6, PA12 or PBT to improve compression set, modulus, ageing and chemical resistance.
- Peroxide crosslinking of FKM to improve mechanical performance of parts exposed to aggressive media such as biodiesel, meeting the highest automotive standards.
